Cosmo Stars Soccer Club is striving to positively impact the development of our players in and off the field, and also create a positive impact in our community. Our mascot (meet our mascot Polo on the “About Us” section) was created by our son affected by Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy (DMD). This non-contagious disease is most common in children. It is a progressive disorder that causes muscles to become weaker over time until it affects the whole body. The freedom to walk, talk, run and play, laugh, hug, eat, and breathe is taken away from kids and adults with muscular dystrophy, ALS and related diseases that weaken muscle strength and limit mobility.

The club will be donating 10% from every shirt or apparel sold with the mascot to the fund supporting DMD research. Over the years, Parent Project Muscular Dystrophy (PPMD) and several other organizations (e.g., Muscular Dystrophy Association (MDA), Jeff Foundation-Camp Promise, etc.) have been working hard to end Duchenne. This fund will help these organizations to accelerate research, advance care, improve policies, demand optimal care for every single family, and strive to ensure access to approved therapies. Together, we can contribute to advancements in medical research so one day no kids will have to suffer or die from this disease. You contribution will also help to improve the lives of those affected by this condition and the families fighting against DMD. To make a bigger impact in our community, the club has also a general fund/financial aid to get kids playing. Our goal is to keep fees reasonable by working with our communities to partner to support our kids. These partnerships will increase awareness of the club and introduce our families and spectators to partners within the community in order to defray the costs of playing soccer. Your contribution will help us to cover field rentals, generally keep costs down, and help to provide soccer programs and equipment for those who may not otherwise be able to afford it.

If you select to donate to the General Fund, please send us a message with the amount you would like to donate. We will send you an email with the method of payment once the application has been processed.
