Anthony Romero has loved soccer since childhood. While his playing experience was primarily in recreational soccer, his passion for the game never faded. Over time, that passion evolved into something deeper: a desire to understand the game, study it, and find better ways to teach it.
Anthony began coaching youth soccer in 2018 and has since worked with players ranging from ages 4 through 15 in recreational, clinic, league, and competitive environments. Through Cosmo Stars Soccer Club, he has worked with multiple youth age groups and continues to focus on helping players develop their technical ability, confidence, decision-making, and understanding of the game. He has also gained experience working at the college level through Prince George’s Community College.
Anthony considers himself a student of the game. Rather than relying solely on his own playing background, he continually studies different coaching methods, tactical concepts, player-development approaches, and the details that make the game work. He believes that being a good coach means never believing you have learned everything. The more he learns, the more he can give to his players.
His coaching philosophy centers around developing players who can think for themselves. Anthony wants players to understand not only what to do, but why they are doing it. Technical ability, decision-making, composure, movement, creativity, and confidence are all important pieces of his approach.
Through his work with Cosmo Stars and Full 90 Impact Soccer Studio, Anthony's goal is to create an environment where players can grow as athletes while developing a genuine love and understanding of the game.
Outside of coaching, Anthony is a lifelong Chelsea FC supporter and a fan of the Spanish National Team. His love for soccer continues to motivate him to learn, improve, and find new ways to help the next generation of players reach their potential.

Our coach, Lance Jordan, is a multisport competitive athlete who dedicated himself at a young age to soccer training, often on his own with a wall along his grandparents’ backyard. During his freshman year of high school at Taylor Allderdice in Pittsburgh, PA, Lance played for the varsity team as a defender and midfielder. By his junior year, he anchored the defense at the center back position. His team won the city championship and advanced to the first round of the AAA PIAA state championship during each of his four high school seasons.
Lance focused on academics after high school, attending Long Island University Southampton. While he often thought of soccer and missed the team atmosphere, he decided that tennis was a better fit as a spring semester sport. He played #3 singles and #1 doubles on the Div II team during his sophomore and junior years. Lance has coached soccer at the Rec level in the past and enjoys sharing his knowledge of competition, physicality, and strategy with players of all levels.
